Abstract: The epidemic of tobacco is a serious public health problem, the establishment and implementation of comprehensive smoke-free laws which meet the requirements of “World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control” is an important measure to effectively control the tobacco epidemic. This article described the main characteristics of the newly revised “Regulations of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone on Tobacco Control”, and summarized the measures and effects to guarantee the effective implementation of the legislation from multi-sectoral coordination mechanisms, multi-level monitoring mechanism, capacity building of law enforcement and social mobilization and so on, so as to provide references for other cities or regions to promote tobacco control legislation and enforcement.
