Abstract: Lanzhou city public places tobacco control ordinance was formally promulgated and implemented on January 1, 2014. This law has played a positive role in promoting the introduction of tobacco control legislation in the western region as well as national legislation. In this paper, the author discussed the successful experience in various aspects of tobacco control legislation in Lanzhou, including the tobacco control places, law enforcement body, unit responsibilities and law enforcement model. We hope it will provide valuable experience for other western pro-vinces and national smoke-free legislation.
