Review and prospect of tobacco control legislation process in Tianjin

Abstract: Implementing smoke free law is the most effective method that crabs the epidemic of tobacco use and protects the public from the secondhand smoke exposure. However, it is a huge challenge to formulate a smoke free law in China which would coincide with the Articles of FCTC. The authors reviewed the legislation process of the tobacco control ACT in Tianjin and addressed the experience and achievements on developing a smoke free law promoted by social mobilization, policy advocacy, dissemination and smoke free environment creation promote more smoke free laws in city and regions.
