Abstract:

Virtual multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment pattern (vMDT) integrates multidisciplinary team consultation with telemedicine, enabling cross-regional and cross-disciplinary expert collaboration online to provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans for patients with complex pulmonary diseases. This approach plays a significant role in enhancing the diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of primary healthcare institutions. This paper elaborates on the information technology architecture of vMDT and the organizational models of remote MDT consultations, while also presenting a prospective outlook on developing an AI-assisted clinical decision support system based on a case repository of difficult pulmonary diseases. Thereby, it proposes a constructive new pathway for addressing the challenges in diagnosing and managing complex pulmonary conditions.
