Indicator system of risk assessment on tuberculosis outbreak in Liaoning school

Abstract: Objective To analyze the risk factors of tuberculosis(TB) outbreak in school, perform the risk assessment, and provide the reasonable and effective evidence for TB epidemic control in school. Methods The expert panel which was made of 18 experts, was organized by Liaoning Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Risk assessments were taken by experts consultation. After discussing, the index weight was determined according the score method and ranked according the score. Results Four primary and 26 secondary evaluation index were determined through the expert consultation. The weight of source case was up to 0.33, which was the highest in the first-class indicators assessment. The risks such as detection delay, the epidemic omissions and the concealing di-sease of the source case illness were extremely high risk factors in the second-class, the weighted score were 2.21, 2.05 and 2.05, respectively. Conclusion The indicator system of risk assessment on tuberculosis outbreak in school, provides the basis for taking scientific prevention and control measures.
